If you have missed your period and have had unprotected sex, you might question if you are pregnant. If you would like to take a pregnancy test, we offer this free and confidential service at The Life Center.
Missing your period and other pregnancy symptoms don't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. Other factors, such as lifestyle, diet, exercise and even some medications, can trigger a late or missed period.
A pregnancy test will show positive, when the HCG hormone is found in urine. This hormone increases daily as soon as you conceive. Approximately 14-21 days after conception, there is enough HCG hormone to show positive on a pregnancy test.
